A Mine-clearing line charge lies off to the side as an Amphibious Assault Vehicle rolls past during a deliberate defense breaching exercise Jan. 22 at LZ Dodo in the Central Training Area. The MCLC is a line of high explosives projected into a mine field and detonated to trigger nearby mines allowing safe passage of ground troops afterward.
