ALI BASE, Iraq -- Civil engineer Airmen from the 60th Civil Engineer Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., make up almost 50 percent of the 407th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, Ali Base, Iraq, for Air and Space Expeditionary Force rotation 7/8.
The 60th's first sergeant, Chief Master Sgt. Jay Groff, was unable to make the 7/8 deployment because he's retiring Oct. 18 with more than 30 years of service to the Air Force.
The 407th ECES gathered Oct. 14th to send Chief Groff a long distance salute and their wishes for a long and well deserved retirement.
