Hawaii-based Coast Guardsmen enter the .5 million Surface Damage Control Trainer at the Center of Naval Engineering Learning Site Pearl Harbor, which simulates the conditions aboard guided-missile frigate USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58) when the ship struck a mine in the Persian Gulf in April 1988. As part of the Maritime Strategy, the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard train and operate together to ensure Maritime Security.
