A six-foot snow sculpture depicting the U.S. Navy Seabee's "Fighting Bee" insignia is on display at the 65th Annual Sapporo Snow Festival, Feb. 3, 2014. The 2014 Navy Misawa Snow Team spent five days creating the design for the festival as an tribute to Navy Seabees, who are celebrating their 72nd anniversary, March 5, 2014. This is the 31st year that Naval Air Facility Misawa and its tenant commands have sent a delegation of sailors to Sapporo to create a sculpture, and to serve as U.S. Navy goodwill ambassadors in an area of Japan that doesn’t receive much U.S. Navy exposure.
