The Springville (Scoby) Dam located in Springville, N.Y., is the focus of a Great Lakes Fishery and Ecosystem Restoration Section 506 study. The power house, left, and the dam were once used to generate hydroelectric power for the homes, towns and villages in the area. The sea lamprey barrier can be seen at the base of the power house.
