Royal Thai Army Col Wachripol Monmanerat , a local school official and U.S. Army Maj. Alejandro Buniag place symbolic tin foils on the ground where a pillar will be set Jan. 30 during a pillar raising ceremony for the Ban Trabeak Ngam School during exercise Cobra Gold 2014 in Phitsanulok, Kingdom of Thailand. The location, known as site 2, is part of an engineering and civic assistance project. CG 14, in its 33rd iteration, demonstrates the U.S. and the Kingdom of Thailand’s commitment to their long-standing alliance and regional partnership, prosperity and security in the Asia-Pacific region. Monmanerat is the commander for the Combined Joint Civil Military Operations Task Force, and Buniag is the deputy commander for the CJCMOTF.
