1st Sgt. Arturo Cisneros teaches Gay, left, and Tay, center, basic English phrases Feb. 11 at the Wut Khun Song elementary school near Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand during Exercise Cobra Gold. The purpose of the community relations event was to have U.S. Marines and sailors teach the elementary students English, play games and share parts of their culture while also learning about the Thai culture in the process. Tay and Gay are both 10 year old, 4th grade students at the school. Cisneros is the weapons company first sergeant with 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment. The battalion is attached to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, as part of the Marine Corps’ unit deployment program.
