U.S. Marines look over the Royal Thai Marine’s version of the M249 squad automatic weapon before the Royal Thai Marines demonstrate the weapon Feb. 11 at Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand during Exercise Cobra Gold 2014. Working together, every nation involved in Cobra Gold, conduct joint and multinational training that is vital to maintaining the readiness and interoperability of the participating military forces. The U.S. Marines are with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
