Parents of Cpl. Jason L. Dunham, Dan and Debra Dunham, sit hand-in-hand as their son’s award citation is read during the dedication ceremony of the Cpl. Jason L. Dunham Memorial Mess Hall, Feb. 18. Dunham, then serving with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, suffered fatal wounds after covering a grenade with his helmet and body to save the lives of his fellow Marines in Karabilah, Iraq, on April 14, 2004.
