A U.S. Air Force Combat Controller observes U.S. C-17 Globemaster III that prepare to drop approximately 400 paratroopers with the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division and 20 Royal Thai Armed Forces liaisons into Lop Buri, Kingdom of Thailand after travelling from Alaska on Feb. 14 as part of exercise Cobra Gold 2014. The Spartan Brigade is the only airborne brigade in the Pacific Theatre, capable of deploying rapidly and putting troops on the ground with short notice anywhere in order to carry out a wide array of mission sets to include Humanitarian and Civic Assistance and combat operations.
