A member from the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) using hand signals to direct a U.S. military helicopter provided by a U.S. aviation element assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) to the Landing Zone in order for the Green Berets and members of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force can fast rope off of Chacachacare Island, the western-most island off of Trinidad, following the conclusion of a culmination exercise, Feb. 14. This exercise was part of a month-long Joint Combined Exchange Training event commonly known as a JCET. These JCETs are part of Special Operations Command South’s Theater Security Cooperation program that enables Special Operations Forces (SOF) to train with partner nation military and defense forces overseas.
