Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Hess, a native of Lancaster, Ohio, who serves with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Multi-National Division-Baghdad, stretches before a five-kilometer race held at Camp Liberty Sept. 20, 2008. The race was in memory of Lt. Gen. Timothy J. Maude, who was killed in the Pentagon Sept. 11, 2001 attack.
