The U.S. Army Alaska Commanding General, Maj. Gen Michael Shields is waiting to get in the game. The Army vs. Air Force hockey game is an annual event played between Fort Wainwright’s Army team and Eielson Air Force base’s team. The Air Force team won this year’s Commander’s Cup besting the Army team 8-5 at the Patty Center, Fairbanks, Alaska, Feb. 28, 2014.
