Theresa McFarland, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt for U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground, rings a bell for a class exercise on day two of the Army Lean Six Sigma training at USAEPG, Feb. 25. Lean Six Sigma is a process improvement methodology that focuses on reducing waste, and the students learn how to apply it to Army operations. USAEPG has a tradition of excellence in Lean Six Sigma, having earned a Department of the Army Award for Lean Six Sigma Outstanding Non-Gated Project in 2011 from Secretary of the Army John McHugh and Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno. (Photo by U.S. Army Ray K. Ragan)
