Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuel) 2nd Class Michael Cortese, of Naval Air Facility Atsugi's Fuel Farm, prepares to test a batch of JP5 jet fuel in the facility's quality assurance laboratory. The facility routinely tests the fuel for sediment and water to insure it's safety and quality. Cortese was recently selected by his command as the base's Sailor of the Week for outstanding performance in his job field and workcenter.
