Civilian dependents thank crew members of the U.S. Navy USS Michael Murphy, a guided missile destroyer, for transporting them to safety after being rescued from a dead in the water Royal Canadian Navy auxiliary oil replenishing ship March 4, 2014, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 19 civilian dependents were rescued by crew members of the U.S. Navy USS Chosin, a guided missile cruiser, and USS Michael Murphy after Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship Protecteur, a Royal Canadian Navy auxiliary oil replenishing ship, experienced a fire 340 nautical miles from Hawaii.
