Brig. Gen. Edward D. Banta (center), the commanding general of 2nd Marine Logistics Group, Sgt. Maj. George W. Young (far right), the sergeant major 2nd MLG, and command staff with 2nd Supply Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd MLG visit the Tromsdal cave in Norway, March 07, 2014. Banta visited the battalion to speak to the service members and check on the preparations the unit made for Cold Response 2014 and the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program – Norway, which supports crisis response, humanitarian assistance and Marine expeditionary operations. Cold Response 2014 is a Norwegian-led multinational exercise above the Arctic Circle designed to prepare for crisis-response operations.
