The color guard of Coast Guard Sector Field Office Fort Macon march along the pier and beside the Cutter Block Island during the closing ceremony of the cutter's decommissioning. The Block Island, commissioned in November 1991, was a 110-foot multi-mission patrol boat capable of search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, environmental protection and homeland security.
