Sgt. Rasheem Thomas, a New York City native now a landing support specialist assigned to Transportation and Support Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, was recognized for his life-saving actions at the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation's annual gala March 20. On March 12, after the gas leak explosion in Harlem, N.Y., Thomas rescued a man who was trapped in his vehicle and covered in debris.
