Soldiers of Alpha Company, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, of the 173RD Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) participate in new equipment training of the Spider Networked Munitions System, March 11, supervised by Dan Boyd, Russell Frazier and Rich Hansen, spider technicians. Spider is a man-in-the-loop, networked munitions system incorporating sensors, communications and munitions for small unit force protection. “The Spider system is a replacement for the persistent anti-personnel landmine.
