The Samarra Mayor, Mahmood Khalaf Ahmed, talked with reporters, Sept. 30, 2008, about the opening of the majestic Maqam Ghaybat Shrine, which is co-located with the Al Askari Shrine. This is the first time the shrine has been opened in two years, due to sectarian violence in the area.
