A joint service color guard presents the colors at the beginning of the 2008 USO World Gala in Washington on Oct. 1, 2008. USO honored one service member from each of the five branches for their exemplary service. Sen. John Warner's wife accepted the Spirit of the USO award on his behalf. The senator was on the hill for a vote.
