The Intrepid Air & Space Museum is escorted by the Coast Guard to its new home at Pier 86 on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Oct. 2, 2008. The Intrepid was brought from the Navy Homeport Pier on Staten Island, N.Y., powered by a fleet of McAllister tug boats and surrounded by the Coast Guard to ensure safety to the Intrepid and mariners.
