Lt. Col. Robert Kirby, commander of 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, attached to 2nd BCT, 101st Airborne Div., Multi-National Division – Baghdad, escorts media and other Soldiers through Zawra Park in the Karkh District of Baghdad, Oct. 4, 2008. Kirby's unit, in conjunction with the local Iraqi police, is responsible for the security of the area. Park officials estimate that an average of 500,000 visitors daily have passed through the gates of the park since the end of Ramadan.
