Lt. Col. Andrew J. Thompson, the commanding officer of Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 (MALS-13), Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., cuts the ceremonial birthday cake at the 72nd anniversary ceremony on the parade field aboard MCAS Yuma, March 21. The ceremonial cake was cut by the commanding officer, and the first piece was given to the guest of honor, Lt. Col. Wendy Smith, who spoke to the Marines and guests of customs, courtesies, and tradition.
