Major General Mark A. Brilakis, Commanding General, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, presents awards to Master Gunnery Sgt. Alfred G. Matthews, National Training Team Chief, and Cpl. Jhon M. Zuluaga, Logistics Non-Commissioned Officer, at the Marine Corps Recruiting Command during an awards ceremony, here, March 28. Matthews received his Meritorious Service Medal for his superior performance from May 2010 through January 2013 as a Recruiter Instructor at Recruiting Station Denver, 8th Marine Corps District. Upon completion of three consecutive years of “honorable and faithful service,” Zuluaga received his Good Conduct Medal, in addition to two Certificates of Commendation for being selected as the NCO of the Year in 2013 for Marine Corps National Capital Region Command, and for his outstanding contributions and fundraising efforts to MCRC’s Birthday Ball Committee.
