Members of the Sons of Iraq (Abna Al Iraq) head back to their post after talking with U.S. troops, Oct. 1, 2008. U.S. Soldiers from the 53rd Iraqi Army Military Transition Team, 25th Infantry Division, conducted a battlefield assessment to survey the conditions of Iraqi security forces checkpoints and villages surrounding them.
