1st Lt. Ryan Fisher, of Pittsburgh, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician with the 760th EOD Co., carries a Percussion Actuated Neutralizer used for pinpoint destruction of improvised explosive device components during his final test to receive his EOD Team Leader certification on Forward Operating Base Kalsu, Oct. 14, 2008. Fisher said of the suit, "It's basically like wearing your body armor that you wear [as] your vest but wearing it over your entire body. There's only so much visibility that you have through the front window there of the helmet so the whole process of operating in the bomb suit is physically exhausting as well as mentally taxing because you feel like you lose a little bit of that awareness, a little bit of your peripheral vision, and it's cumbersome, so yeah it's definitely a relief to get the bomb suit off once you've completed the training exercise. Especially if you're in hundred-degree weather."
