Lt. Ivan Borja, a flight deck officer on board the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, demonstrates to a group of distinguished visitors from India how flight deck control utilizes a piece of technology from World War II called the Ouija board to keep track of aircraft on the ship's flight deck during the Malabar 08 exercises. Malabar is designed to increase cooperation between the Indian and U.S. Navy while enhancing the cooperative security relationship between India and the U.S. The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
