Master-at-Arms Petty Officer 1st Class Daniel Arroyo scoops ice cream for aviation machinist's mate Airman Steven Dedrick, assigned to the "Golden Warriors" of Strike Fighter Squadron 87, during an ice cream social on the aft mess decks aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt to celebrate the 150th birthday of the ship's namesake. Roosevelt and embarked Carrier Air Wing 8 are on a regularly scheduled deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility and are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
