Sergeant Major of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III shares a laugh with a Soldier from 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, while visiting the unit at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, April 13, 2014. The SMA visited Air Defense Forces throughout Southwest Asia to thank them for their faithful service. He said that he recognized the high operational tempo for ADA Soldiers and explained that the Army planned to plus up their ranks in order to allow for more dwell time between deployments and better professional growth opportunities throughout the ADA community.
