Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Dailey, a native of Palmerton, Pa., the senior enlisted leader for 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, talks with Tom Jones, a native of Waltham, Mass., a seven time Thai boxing champion and former U.S. Marine, along with Hermes Franca, a resident of Jupiter, Fla., a mixed martial arts fighter; Tony Schiena, a native of Cape Town, South Africa, an actor and martial arts champion; and Kevin Randleman, a native of Sandusky, Ohio, a former mixed martial arts champion, at Forward Operating Base War Eagle in Baghdad, Iraq, Oct. 31, 2008. Dailey talked to the men about the morale and spirit of the troops as well as the accomplishments the brigade has achieved at this point of their current tour of duty. The men are part of the Mixed Martial Arts Tour, a USO morale event that visited the troops at FOB War Eagle on Halloween. The troops had a chance to ask questions of the athletes pose for pictures with them and receive autographs. The athletes gave the Soldiers a standing ovation and thanked them for their service and sacrifice.
