Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Anthony Hayward, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 1 (NCHB 1) combat skills department, demonstrates how to remove the barrel of an M240B machine gun with Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Michael Ruffin and other NCHB 1 Sailors during familiarization training during a quarterly field exercise at the U.S. Army's Fort A.P. Hill installation. NCHB 1 conducts quarterly field training as part of its Expeditionary Warfare Specialist and indoctrination programs to assist newly-reporting Sailors gain insight and exposure to the expeditionary lifestyle. Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG) cargo handling battalion NCHB 1 is the Navy's only active duty cargo handling battalion.
