U.S. Army 1st Lt. Brian Godwin administers the Oath of Enlistment to U.S. Army Sgt. Jonathan Conover during his re-enlistment ceremony at Forward Operating Base Lightning in Afghanistan. Both Spartan Soldiers are with the D-30 Artillery Training Team, 4th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. The Spartan brigade is currently deployed to Afghanistan as a Security Force Advise Assist Brigade in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
