In this image released by the Army Reserve's Military Intelligence Readiness Command, former President George H.W. Bush (right) examines an enamel military recognition coin during an event in Houston, Texas, Friday, April 25, 2014. The event was a re-enlistment for Master Sgt. Branden Young, a Virginia-based reservist who successfully requested former President George H.W. Bush as the official to witness the ceremony and sign the required documents. Young -- along with his family, friends and members of his unit -- traveled to Bush's post-presidential office in Houston for the event. Bush received the coin from Brig. Gen. Gabriel Troiano (left), who leads the military intelligence unit. Military custom allows senior-level commanders to commission a supply of coins that can be then presented to high-performing unit members, as well as to outside individuals who support the unit in some way.
