The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville makes its approach alongside the Military Sealift Command fast combat support ship USNS Bridge during a replenishment at sea. Bridge also participated in a vertical replenishment with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Chancellorsville is a multi-mission, anti-air warfare, anti-submarine warfare, long-range strike and anti-surface warfare surface combatant capable of supporting carrier and expeditionary strike groups, amphibious forces, or of operating independently and as flagships of surface strike groups. Ronald Reagan is on a routine deployment, currently operating in the 3rd Fleet area of responsibility.
