The sun sets behind a C-17 Globemaster III as Airmen guide a K-loader into position at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Nov. 17. The aerial port at Joint Base Balad is the busiest in the Department of Defense, moving more cargo per year than Dover Air Force Base, Del.; Charleston AFB, S.C.; and Travis AFB, Calif., combined. The C-17 is deployed from the 437th Airlift Wing at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C.
