Drummers in the band of the British Army's 1st Battalion, Scots Guards, have worn the fleur-de-lis on their uniforms as as battle honor since the unit captured a French flag during the battle of Waterloo. The unit was performing in the Pentagon courtyard May 1, 2014. The Scots Guards is the oldest unit in the British Army and can trace its lineage back to 1642. (DOD photo by Claudette Roulo/Released)
