Jameson, 18 months, is one of the two winners of the De Luz Housing contest where the children had to draw a picture of the new park and write a story describing what living in De Luz Housing means to them. They won the right to participate in the ribbon cutting and to be the first children to play on the new equipment.
"The Marine Drive Park is the first of 17 parks in the De Luz Housing area to undergo a complete renovation, said Bronwynn Blackmon, the community director for the De Luz Housing area here. "The plan is to rebuild one to two parks every year."
