Georgia Army National Guard Air Crewmembers conduct fire suppression training in a Black Hawk Helicopter as part of Georgia Emergency Management Agency’s annual hurricane exercise early May in Savannah, Ga. The HURREX is designed to improve interagency coordination and response to potential hurricane disasters. During the aftermath of a hurricane, aircraft are often the only way to move personnel, equipment or in this case, fire suppression capabilities to isolated areas.
