Rear Adm. Carol Pottenger, commander of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, addresses the crew of the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during a change of command ceremony where Capt. Steve Koehler relieved Capt. Sam Howard as commanding officer. Pottenger served as the event's guest speaker. Bataan is participating in Operation Unified Response as part of the Bataan Amphibious Relief Mission by providing military support capabilities to civil authorities to help stabilize and improve the situation in Haiti.
