Braudt, air officer and forward air commander, Bravo Company, 1st Bn., plans on the radio on board a CH-53E Super Stallion before landing to conduct a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP) mission during exercise desert scimitar (DS-14) held at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., May 12, 2014. DS-14 is a large-scale combined arms, live-fire exercise integrating ground troops from 1st Marine Division, aviation and logistical support from 3rd MAW and 1st Marine Logistics Group to ensure that our nation is fully prepared for employment as a maneuver force across the range of military operations.
