Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Edgar R. Tucker explains the rules of running the flight deck to Sailors and Marines participating in the tradition called "running the ditch" as USS Nassau (LHA 4) transits through the Suez Canal into the 5th fleet area of responsibility. Nassau is the command platform for the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, currently supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
