Airman 1st Class Dustin Lozano, an aerospace propulsion apprentice assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, safety wires an igniter on a B-1B Lancer engine after a borescope inspection, Nov. 29, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The borescope is used to check integrity of hard to see parts. The B-1 is the backbone of America's long-range bomber force. It can rapidly deliver massive quantities of precision and non-precision weapons against any adversary, anywhere in the Central Command area of responsibility. Airman Lozano, a native of Dallas, Texas, is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
