Cpl. Dustan G. Gentry, a combat engineer with 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, prepares detonation cord to be inserted into high explosives during a live-fire range with an improvised directional flamethrower during 1st Marine Division's field exercise, Desert Scimitar 2014, aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., May 13, 2014. The flame thrower used is called Fougasse, and was created by the combat engineers by combining 55 gallons of JP8 and sticks of C-4.
