Actor and Marine Corps icon Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee Ermey looks at artifacts from the battle of Iwo Jima in the Suribachi Room aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima. Ermey visited the USS Iwo Jima as a Moral, Welfare and Recreation event for deployed troops during the holiday season. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Iwo Jima Strike Group are currently deployed to the U.S. 5th fleet area of operation.
