U.S. Marines with Headquarters Company, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, stake down camouflage netting during the beginning stages of Exercise Desert Scimitar 2014 aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., May 12, 2014. Desert Scimitar 2014 enables 1st Marine Division to test and refine its command control capabilities by acting as the headquarters element for a forward-deployed Marine Expeditionary Force.
