1st Lt. Joe Maddux, 34, St. Augustine, Fla., the commanding officer for Combat Logistics Company 19, 1st Marine Logistics Group, visits with Maj. Gen. John F. Kelly, commanding general for Multi-National Force-West during his visit here, Dec. 5. Maddux is in charge of CLC-19, which makes up one of the elements of the first Marine Air Ground Task Force outside of al Anbar province here since 2004. The Marines of the 1st MLG provide logistical support to the rest of the MAGTF who are stationed along the Syrian border to deter arms smuggling and continue the fight against insurgent forces.
