Porter and Cross are both maritime enforcement specialists and K-9 handlers assigned to Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team Seattle, and are two of the Coast Guard’s several K-9 teams, which are trained to detect the presence of explosive materials on board vessels or waterfront locations.
