Brig. Gen. Duane A. Gamble, deputy commander of the 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) spoke to Soldiers of the 1st TSC and the 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) augmenting the 1st TSC, during a patching and Memorial Day ceremony May 26 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Soldiers received their unit combat patches in recognition of their service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Soldiers also observed Memorial Day and commemorated nine fallen heroes the 1st TSC lost over the past year. Gamble implored Soldiers to remember all fallen service members. "Remember them and their sacrifices so they are not in vain and not forgotten," he said. The 1st TSC is based out of Fort Bragg, N.C., and the 3rd ESC is based out of Fort Knox, Ky.
